Lagavulin distillery is a malt whisky distillery in the village of Lagavulin on the south of the island of Islay, Scotland. It distills spirit that will become Islay single malt Scotch whisky. Lagavulin is owned by Diageo, a multinational beverage alcohol company headquartered in London.

Its whiskies are made with water from the Solan Lochs, while the peat – so crucial to their distinctive flavour – comes from the extensive peat bogs in the west of the island.

Lagavulin also practices extremely slow distillation which contributes to its spirits' mellow character. Running 24/7, the distillery has a production capacity of 2.53 million litres of spirits a year. Water for production is drawn from Lochan Shoulum, fed by water from the hills which flows down through peat beds.
