Distillery Information

Hennessy has created many exceptional cognac lines including V.S., Paradis, Paradis Imperial and X.O. The Hennessy distillery is located in the town of Cognac in western France.Hennessy Cognac Paradis is a blend of more than 100 exceptional eaux de vie ranging in age from 25 years to 100 years. The result is a harmony of floral notes redolent of truffles, honey, flowers and cardamom and cinnamon that transfigure to dried roses and sweet briar rose jam with time.
For over 250 years, Hennessy has been crafting one-of-a-kind cognacs in the heart of the Charente region in France. The Maison is truly committed to the terroir, to sustainable practices and to offering excellence in every bottle, in more than 160 countries.
Created in 1979, Hennessy Paradis is so named for the Hennessy Founder's Cellar, where only the finest, rarest and oldest eaux-de-vie are kept. It is a cognac of remarkable depth and elegance. This cognac is made from 100 eaux-de-vie that have been aged for up to 130 years.
Cognac is distilled twice in onion-shaped copper pot stills (called alembic charentais), but unlike whisky, there is a strict timetable enforced. In the Cognac region, distillation begins towards the end of November, and must be finished by 31 March the following year.
