These agaves are then cooked in traditional brick ovens for approximately 24 hours, followed by a 30-hour resting period. The double distillation process in stainless steel pot stills with copper ensures the preservation of the tequila's authentic flavors and aromas.

Aging in a combination of barrels adds depth and complexity to Carrera Tequila Reposado. Thirty percent of the tequila matures in new American oak barrels, while twenty percent rests in used bourbon barrels, and the remaining fifty percent in used tequila barrels.
