Distillery Information

Maker's Mark is a small-batch bourbon whiskey produced in Loretto, Kentucky, by Beam Suntory. It is bottled at 90 U.S. proof (45% alcohol by volume) and sold in squarish bottles sealed with red wax. The distillery offers tours, and is part of the American Whiskey Trail and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
French Oaked and full proof bourbon whisky. This limited-edition bourbon is Maker's 46 turned up to Cask Strength.
Maker's 46 bourbon was first released in 2010 and was the first release of what would become to be known as Maker's Wood Finishing Series. In 2020, on its 10th anniversary, Maker's 46 Cask Strength was released and that has since become an annual release.Maker's Mark 46® is the recipe of Bill Samuels Jr., son of founders Bill and Margie, and the first new major expression since classic Maker's® was released in 1958. Maker's 46® is aged longer with special seared French oak staves. With subtly layered bourbon notes and balanced complexity.
The aging process takes place in the distillery's limestone cellar, where the barrels are carefully rotated to ensure consistent flavor development. Maker's Mark ages its bourbon for around six to seven years, allowing it to acquire its signature taste and deep amber color.
These gleaming copper stills are key to our double-distillation process, which removes most impurities for a more refined sipping whisky. Thanks to our friends at Vendome Copper & Brass Works, every drop of Maker's® is still made the same way as Bill intended.
Each and every bottle of Maker's® is still hand-dipped in our signature red wax at our distillery in Loretto, KY., just like Bill, Sr.
