A Symphony of Flavors: Hibiki 21 Year opens with an orchestra of flavors that captivate the senses. The nose is greeted by a delicate balance of floral notes, honey, and a hint of Mizunara oak, providing a unique Japanese touch. The palate unfolds with layers of rich fruitiness, complex spices, and a touch of Mizunara sweetness, creating a harmonious and memorable tasting experience.

Mizunara Oak Influence: The incorporation of rare Mizunara oak casks in the aging process imparts a distinctive character to Hibiki 21 Year. The wood's porous nature allows the whisky to interact deeply, infusing it with an array of spices, sandalwood, and a subtle incense-like aroma. This influence elevates Hibiki to a level of sophistication that is truly unmatched.

Aged to Perfection: Each precious drop of Hibiki 21 Year has been patiently aged for a minimum of two decades, allowing time to work its magic and impart complexity, depth, and a smoothness that defines the pinnacle of Japanese whisky. The result is a liquid symphony that resonates with the soul of the connoisseur.

Elegant Bottle Design: The Hibiki 21 Year bottle is a work of art in itself, reflecting the grace and elegance of its contents. The 24 facets of the bottle represent the 24 seasons of the traditional Japanese lunar calendar, symbolizing the meticulous attention to detail that goes into every aspect of Hibiki craftsmanship.

Perfect for Collectors and Connoisseurs: Suntory Hibiki 21 Year Japanese Whisky is more than a spirit; it's an investment in the legacy of Japanese whisky. Perfect for collectors and those seeking the pinnacle of craftsmanship, this expression is a rare gem that deserves a place of honor in any whisky enthusiast's collection.

Distillery Information

Hibiki 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky is crafted from a blend of over 30 unique whiskies produced at both Yamazaki Distillery and Hakushu Distillery, including some that have matured in previously-used Umeshu casks (Umeshu casks are specially coopered casks that are used in the maturation of plum liqueur).Hibiki is a meticulous blend produced using 10 different whiskies from the various House of Suntory distilleries. The malt whisky in the blend is sourced from the Yamazaki and Hakusku distilleries, with the grain whisky sourced from the Chita distillery. The Yamazaki Distillery is Japan's first and oldest malt whisky distillery established in 1923 by Suntory's founder Shinjiro Torii. Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, Torii envisioned a Japanese approach by choosing a terrain and climate completely different to those of Scotland to create a unique kind of whisky.
n May 2018, Beam Suntory announced it would have to stop selling Hibiki 17 Year Old and Hakushu 12 Year Old. “At the moment, demand outweighs supply, making continued sales difficult,” a spokesperson summed up. When supply falls, demand isn't the only thing to rise: prices do, too.Hibiki 17 year old is a blend of the best single malts from Yamazaki and Hakushu, aged in different types of casks, and subtly mixed with grain whisky from Chita distillery.
Founded in 1899, Shinjiro Torii built the House of Suntory with a singular vision: to craft quintessentially Japanese spirits that would suit the delicate palate of his people.
