Stranahan's® Colorado Whiskey is Colorado's first legal whiskey distillery since Prohibition. This Rocky Mountain Single Malt is handcrafted from grain to glass in Denver, Colorado.
The story of Stranahan's begins with Jess Graber and George Stranahan. Jess Graber grew up in the Midwest and moved to Colorado in 1972. He was a volunteer firefighter, whiskey enthusiast, and experimental distiller, using a small still he'd inherited from a friend.
Single malt refers to whisky that is the product of a specific distillery, for example, the Bowmore Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. Malt whisky refers to the fact that the whisky is distilled from malted barley, as opposed to other grains, such as corn.
