Behind every drop of Seagram's Vodka is a story that is 100% American made. Our vodka begins with grain proudly grown in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and processed in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Seagram's 7's blend is made up of roughly 75 percent grain-neutral spirits (think: Everclear) and 25 percent whiskey. National law holds that blended whiskeys must be made from a minimum of 20 percent straight whiskey, a standard that places Seagram's 7's whiskey content on the low end of the spectrum.Seagram Distillers History. The Seagram company name was first founded in 1857 in Waterloo, Ontario, as Joseph E. Seagram Co Ltd. More than half a century later in 1928, the firm was acquired by Montreal-based Distillers Corporation Ltd, owned by the Bronfman brothers, who grew the business into an international name.
The most impressive of Louisville's post-Prohibition distilleries was constructed between 1933 and 1936, and operated as the Kessler Distillery. When the distillery opened in May 1937, it was claimed to be the largest distillery in the world.
