Casa Herradura, is one of Mexico's most historic and renowned tequila producers, since the 19th century in Amatitán, Jalisco. Tequila Herradura's long-standing legacy of craftsmanship dates back to 1870, at Casa Herradura.
It was formally founded in 1870 by Aurelio López and the business remained in the family for over 125 years. Today it is owned by US beverage maker Brown-Forman, but the tequila is still made in the same place and facilities under a Mexican subsidiary. Tequila products sold under the Herradura name are 100% agave.
Herradura Reposado Tequila is really good for any drink that requires tequila or by itself. In small sips over ice is the best way to enjoy Herradura. While I prefer anejo for margaritas, this is my favorite Reposado to use instead. Smooth while still pulling in the smokiness from the extra time in the barrel.
Casa Herradura is one of Mexico's most historic and renowned tequila producers. Casa Herradura has been hand harvesting, producing and estate bottling fine tequilas from the small town of Amatitán, Jalisco since 1870.
