Distillery. Paul John Whisky is a brand of Indian whisky produced by John Distilleries in Goa, on the west coast of India. Established in 1996 it is now one of the most popular brands of whisky produced and sold in the country.
A non age stated (NAS) single malt whisky from the Speyside region. Glenfiddich Select Cask is a marriage of whiskies matured in European oak (sherry?), bourbon and red wine casks. Casks have been selected by malt master Brian Kinsman, then married in Glenfiddich's Solera system.
Maturing Scotch whisky is kept in oak casks – sometimes called barrels, hogsheads or butts. Casks are sourced mainly from the US and Spain, where they have previously been used to age whiskey and sherry.
John Distilleries were founded in Bangalore in 1992 by owner and chairman Paul P. John. The first Whisky produced here was marketed as "National Distilleries" and sold on the Indian low-price market.
Pedro Ximénez wine is obtained from grapes of the same name which then undergo a traditional process known as "sunning", whereby the fruit turns to raisins.
