Distillery Information

Malolactic fermentation is the key process that gives your Chardonnay that buttery characteristic. Malolactic fermentation is a secondary fermentation that many vintners utilize during their wine-making process. The process involves converting malic acid in wine into lactic acid.
It was the Greeks and the Romans who eventually figured out how to separate their red wines from their white wines but it wasn't until sixth century BC that the Phocaeans brought grape vines to Massalia in the south of France that the pink rosé blend started being the talk of the Mediterranean.
This Bread and Butter Wine Chardonnay has bottled at 13.5% alcohol by volume. It pairs well with any seafood dish that features butter or brown butter sauce, baked chicken, creamy pasta or soups, squash, and winter vegetables.
According to the winery, “bread and butter are flavors and aromas that develop through the winemaking process either through the use of oak fermentation and aging or malolactic fermentation (MLF). Both affect flavor, aroma, and texture in the finished wine.The only two-face that we like, also known as the chameleon of wines, Chardonnay.
