Appearance : Extra rich, unfiltered deep amber color.Nose : Well balanced between nougat confection and rye-derived spices such as black pepper, clove, grains of paradise and pink peppercorns.Taste : Broad, fulsome mouthfeel, a sweet-spicy-savory interplay developing into floral rose and red fruit notes.Finish : Fine length and detail, showing potent rye spices which last and last.

Established 2014. We are a new riff on an old tradition, that tradition or theme being Kentucky Bourbon.
100% RYE (95% RYE, 5% MALTED RYE) AGED AT LEAST 4 YEARS. 100 PROOF (50% Alc/Vol) Appearance: Extra rich, unfiltered deep amber color. Nose: Spicy and detailed, showing mint, black pepper, and vanilla with hints of orange and oak.
Founded in 2014 by Ken Lewis, a visionary Kentucky liquor retailer and entrepreneur, New Riff is led by a team of corporate refugees ranging from craft beer to politics and more. New Riff crafts a range of whiskeys—Bourbon, Rye and eventually Malted Rye and a host of specialty recipes—as well as Kentucky Wild Gin.
New Riff Distilling Co. All New Riff whiskeys are bottled as Bottled in Bond Without Chill Filtration.
Bols is a brand name used by Lucas Bols, a Dutch distiller of alcoholic beverages. The brand line currently consists of vodkas, gins, genevers, advocaats and liqueurs. Bols has been extant since 1575, and claims to be the oldest distillery brand in the world.
Straight Rye Whiskey is a subcategory under the above broad definition, requiring rye whiskey to also be aged in new, charred oak for at least two years. It also can't include any additives in terms of flavour or caramel colouring.Rye: Rye has a spicier taste. Many feel that it has notes of grass and pepper, as well as oak, smoke, and fruit. Bourbon: Most will agree that bourbon has a sweeter taste than rye with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Bourbon has an overall lighter and smoother taste than rye.
