Experience the essence of Mexican tradition with Señorío Mezcal Reposado Tequila, a premium spirit crafted with passion and expertise. Produced in the heart of Mexico's mezcal-producing region, this tequila embodies the rich heritage and artisanal craftsmanship that defines authentic mezcal production.

Señorío Mezcal Reposado begins with hand-selected agave plants, harvested at peak maturity to ensure optimal flavor and quality. The agave hearts, known as piñas, are roasted in traditional earthen pit ovens, imparting a distinctive smoky character to the final product. After fermentation, the mezcal is double-distilled in copper pot stills to achieve exceptional purity and depth of flavor.

During the aging process, Señorío Mezcal Reposado is rested in oak barrels, allowing the spirit to develop complexity and richness over time. This reposado expression is characterized by its smoothness and balance, with subtle notes of smoke, caramel, and spice that mingle harmoniously on the palate.

In the glass, Señorío Mezcal Reposado Tequila exhibits a golden hue, hinting at its time spent maturing in oak. The aroma is rich and inviting, with aromas of roasted agave, vanilla, and toasted oak.

On the palate, this tequila delights with its smooth and velvety texture. The initial sweetness of caramel and vanilla gives way to a warm and lingering finish, with hints of smoke and spice that linger on the palate.

Señorío Mezcal Reposado Tequila is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, allowing the complexity of flavors to shine. Whether sipped slowly to savor its nuances or used as the foundation for classic cocktails, this mezcal promises an authentic taste of Mexico's mezcal-making tradition. Distillery Information

Señorío Mezcal Reposado is double-distilled using Maguey Espadin (Agave angustifolia) after being cooked in an underground oven. It is aged in American oak barrels for 4 months to create a balanced flavor with smoked tones, providing a wood-caramel aroma.
Reposado: tequila or mezcal that's been "rested" in oak for a minimum of two months but less than a year in oak barrels. Añejo: tequila or mezcal that's been "aged" for between one and three years in oak barrels. Extra Añejo: "extra aged" tequila or mezcal that's been aged for a minimum of three years in oak barrels.SEÑORIO is a Premium Mezcal with a mildly smoky flavor. It is the blend of two Mezcals, two distillations in PERFECT HARMONY of different intensities, and aroma-taste profiles. WHITE AMERICAN OAK BARRELS are used to age the Reposado imparting striking flavor characteristics and complexity.
These terms refer to whether or not a mezcal was aged in oak after distilling. Joven, or "young," mezcal, is clear and unaged, like an eau de vie. Reposado is "rested" in oak for more than two months but less than a year. Añejo is aged for one to three years, and extra-añejo ages for longer than that.
Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey. Mezcal is defined as any agave based spirit. This includes tequila, which is made in specific regions of Mexico and must be made from only blue agave (agave tequilana), whereas Mezcal can be made from a wide variety of agave.Technically, all tequila is mezcal. The term mezcal refers to spirits made from the agave plant, while tequila refers to a specific type of mezcal that can only be made from blue Weber agave in five Mexican states.
The name mezcal comes from the Nahuatl (or Aztec) word “mexcalli” meaning an oven-cooked agave. It is believed that Spanish conquerors taught distilling techniques to the Mexican natives around 400 years ago.
