Embark on a journey through the mystical landscapes of Oaxaca, Mexico, with Pierde Almas Mezcal Joven Wild Tepextate. Crafted with reverence for tradition and a deep connection to the land, this mezcal encapsulates the essence of ancient Mexican spirits.

Pierde Almas Mezcal Joven Wild Tepextate is a true testament to the wild spirit of the agave plant. Harvested from the rugged terrain of the Oaxacan wilderness, the rare Tepextate agave thrives in the harsh conditions, developing unique flavors and characteristics over decades of growth.

Each Tepextate agave is carefully selected and harvested by skilled jimadors, who navigate the treacherous terrain to gather these precious plants. Once harvested, the agaves are roasted in traditional earthen pit ovens, where they are slowly cooked to perfection, imbuing the mezcal with the smoky essence of ancient tradition.

After roasting, the agave hearts are crushed and fermented in wooden vats, allowing the natural sugars to ferment and transform into alcohol. This meticulous fermentation process, combined with artisanal distillation techniques passed down through generations, results in a mezcal of unparalleled depth and complexity.

Upon opening a bottle of Pierde Almas Mezcal Joven Wild Tepextate, the senses are greeted by an intoxicating aroma of earth, smoke, and wild herbs. The palate is then treated to a symphony of flavors, with notes of roasted agave, tropical fruits, and hints of floral sweetness dancing across the tongue. The texture is smooth and velvety, with a warmth that envelops the senses and lingers long after the final sip.

Whether enjoyed neat, sipped slowly to savor its complexity, or used as the foundation for inventive cocktails, Pierde Almas Mezcal Joven Wild Tepextate is a celebration of nature's bounty and the rich cultural heritage of Oaxaca. Each bottle tells a story of tradition, terroir, and the timeless allure of mezcal. Elevate your spirits and experience the magic of Pierde Almas Mezcal Joven Wild Tepextate today. Salud.

Montelobos mezcal Espadín is an unaged mezcal joven, crafted from meticulously, which is roasted underground and small batch distilled to achieve a perfect balance of sweetness and subtle smoke. Montelobos is an artisanal mezcal made in Santiago Matatlán Oaxaca produced with 100% organically certified agave espadín.
Espadín is the most commonly sourced agave varietal for mezcal. Its sky-reaching sword-like leaves protect the piña.
In Oaxaca, the agave espadín (A. angustifolia Haw) is the most common maguey, and nearly always farmed. Truly wild magueyes are rapidly disappearing in Oaxaca, although it's less of an issue in other mezcal-producing states.
More than 90% of mezcal is made in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, but is now produced and commercialized throughout Mexico for the national and international market.
Technically, tequila is a mezcal, but all mezcals are not tequila – just how bourbon and scotch are types of whiskey. Both have laws governing their production, but mezcal can use a greater variety of agave from nine Mexican states. The biggest difference lies in how the agave is prepared.
