This stunning new single grain 30 Year Old from the Fuji Gotemba distillery is the latest in a line of hugely successful, award-winning whiskies from the brilliant distillery, situated at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Gentle & fruity w/ notes of vanilla bean, popcorn, tannins & sherry.The Yamazaki Distillery is Japan's first and oldest malt whisky distillery established in 1923 by Suntory's founder Shinjiro Torii. Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, Torii envisioned a Japanese approach by choosing a terrain and climate completely different to those of Scotland to create a unique kind of whisky.
A single grain is a whisky made from cereals other than barley such as corn, rye or even rice. Distilled in column stills and aged at least three years in oak casks, a single grain is a blend of grain whiskies of different ages or casks, all from a single distillery.
The main difference between single grain and single malt is that single malts can only be produced from malted barley. Single grain scotch whisky is made by one single distillery using any cereal from barley, rye, wheat and corn, and these can be malted or unmalted.Founded in Japan as Nichibei Fuji, the company starts importing American and English bikes. The word 'Nichibei' translates as 'Japanese-American. ' Within 20 years the company is building its own bicycles.
