47% ABV / 94 PROOF. To make our New World Gin, we start with a cane neutral spirit and 13 botanicals. Some are hand-ground daily and others remain whole to appropriately balance the differences in each of the ingredients. We then macerate and distill the spirit in our botanical pot still.
Its origin is attributed to Franciscus Sylvius, a 17th-century professor of medicine at the University of Leiden in Holland, who distilled the juniper berry with spirits to produce an inexpensive medicine having the diuretic properties of juniper-berry oil.All distilled / London dry gin is made by a distillery even if sometimes it's not the "distillery" whose name is on the bottle.
