Larceny is the heir to the wheated Bourbons that make up the historic Old Fitzgerald franchise that Heaven Hill acquired in 1999. In fact, it is the somewhat controversial history of John E. Fitzgerald and his eponymous Bourbon brand that provides the story, and name, to Larceny Bourbon.

Batch Proof is a celebration of Woodford Reserve's proprietary process – blending barrels into a batch and then bottling the whiskey at its actual proof, straight from the barrel. Batch Proof is crafted using the same grain bill and process as Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The 2022 edition is 118.4 Proof.
Typically, a small batch comes from between 10 and 50 barrels, although a small batch bourbon from a smaller distillery or bottler might be comprised of just two to five casks.
