Founded in 1936, Zardetto has set the benchmark for producing world-class Prosecco in Italy and was instrumental in the establishment of the DOC and DOCG regions. Zardetto was the first producer of Prosecco to begin exporting outside of Italy, setting a standard for high-quality Prosecco to consumers worldwide.
Prosecco can be crafted throughout a wide swath of land in the Veneto, but Zardetto's identity is steeped in the hilly countryside at the center of the region, with vineyards located just between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.
This delicious Prosecco (primarily Prosecco with about 5% Chardonnay included) is a light, frothy, fresh, lively sparkling white with a touch of creamy sweetness. With excellent fruit, freshness, and purity, it is ideal for drinking over the next year. The Zardetto family has been in Conegliano for centuries. For over 100 years they have been growers and bottlers of local grape varietals, predominantly Glera. In 1998, Fabio Zardetto, now the fourth generation to helm the company, decided that the path to success was high quality Prosecco.Brut is a sparkling wine with a residual sugar content between 6 and 12 g/l; below 6 g/l we have an Extra Brut. Thanks to their dry character, these “dry” wines are usually ideal for an aperitif, but they can also be paired with delicate main courses, fish or white meat.
