Azulejos Skelly Reposado Tequila is produced in Jalisco, the heart of tequila country. This is the one year aged expression of this particular line. The others being Blanco, and Anejo and Extra Anejo. Distilled in stainless steel stills, a bright taste Lowland tequila.
The Skelly Collection brings together two key elements of the Mexican culture: tequila and calaveras (skulls); inspired by one of the most important national symbols celebrating our ancestors in the Dia de Los Muertos.
Tequila is only produced in five Mexican states, namely, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit, and Tamaulipas.
Reposado is made when Blanco tequila is aged anywhere from 2 to 11 months in oak barrels. This aging process allows the spirit to mellow and take on a deeper, more complex character. Reposado has a softer, smoother, more aromatic flavor than Blanco and often takes on vanilla or caramel flavors from the oak aging.Tequila is a distilled spirit made from the Weber blue agave plant that grows in Mexico. The blue agave plant has huge spikes that come up from a central core that is called the pina. After the leaves are removed, the pina is the part of the plant that is used to make tequila.
