Distillery Information

Castle Rock Winery was established in 1994 by Greg Popovich. The wines are made from Oregon, Washington, and California grapes. All the wines are produced and bottled at partner wineries such as the Francis Ford Coppola facility in Sonoma County. The winemaker is Meghan Rech.
Columbia Valley, in the southeastern corner of Washington State, is one of the United States' largest official wine regions (see AVA). The area covers just over 11 million acres (4.5 million hectares), of which 40,000 acres (16,000ha) are under vine.
While France and the California are two of the more popular regions producing Cabernet Sauvignon, you'll also find countries like Italy, Australia, and Chile producing them as well. Cabernet Sauvignon is still one of the most popular wines in the world even though other varietals have started gaining in popularity.
The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock was filmed primarily in Orange, Massachusetts. The New England Studios in Devens was the series home base for the indoor scenes.
Founded in 1962 by a visionary group of 10 friends, six of whom were University of Washington professors, Columbia Winery is the result of the unrelenting curiosity and deep commitment to proving the potential of winegrowing in the Columbia Valley, located at the same latitude as Europe's best winegrowing regions.
