Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. is a private, American family-owned and operated distillery founded in 1935 and headquartered in Bardstown, Kentucky, that produces and markets the Heaven Hill brand of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and a variety of other distilled spirits.
Small batch Bourbon typically consists of no more than ten selected single barrels, although the number of barrels varies from distillery to distillery from two to two hundred or more. The process is basically the same as standard Bourbon but made on a much smaller scale.
The company is headquartered in Bardstown, Kentucky, and its distillery (called the Heaven Hill Bernheim distillery) is in Louisville, Kentucky.
Larceny is drawn from barrels that have aged from 6 to 12 years at high storage, and is bottled at a full-bodied 92 proof, or 46% alcohol by volume.
This small batch bottling (200 barrels per batch) is comprised of selected whiskeys 8-12 years of age. This no-age statement product was introduced in early 2016 to replace the 12-year age statement (a barrel illustration on the original label took place of the number 12).
