Distillery Information

The product range features three expressions, each made from hand-selected 100% Blue Agave and presented in a uniquely decorated bottle: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. "KAH" translates to "life" in the ancient Mayan language, and Day of the Dead, Día de Los Muertos, is a celebration of lives lived.
KAH Tequila Añejo is made from 100% Blue Agave and is aged in American Oak casks for at least 12 months, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
Like other types of tequila, añejos are produced in Mexico's highland and lowland regions. The richer soil of the highlands can make this region's agaves sweeter, making for fruitier tequilas. And lowland tequilas taste earthier because of the area's water.
The first distillation process takes place in steel distillation columns, during which water is removed and alcohol is concentrated from fermented agave juice. The second distillation takes place in stills to obtain tequila with a range of 55-65% alcohol, depending on the brand.
Amber Beverage Group (ABG), which owns the one-of-a-kind KAH Tequila brand, has always chosen the USA for launches of this brand. Exactly a year after launching KAH Extra Anejo Tequila in the USA, the policy appears to be a sound decision.KAH Tequila (Kah means 'life' in the Mayan language) is branded around the 'Mexican Day of the Dead' festival held on the 1st and 2nd November where people honour deceased friends and relations. The tequila's hand-finished bottles are inspired by the sugar skulls decorated for the festival.
In other words, the aromatic and sensory notes that exist in a tequila, are the main characteristics that make up and describe each kind of tequila. If we use stills for a second distillate, more sensory notes will be perceived in the final product.
