Distillery Information

The La Tequileña distillery, in the town of Tequila, is where Don Fulano is made. This distillery mixes tradition and innovation to make high-quality tequila. The Fonseca family runs the distillery. They have grown agave for five generations and are known for their excellent tequilas.
Each expression in the Don Fulano range – from the gently rested Blanco to the robust Imperial extra añejo – is made from just three ingredients: mature Blue Weber agave grown on the Fonseca estate in Atotonilco, Mexico; proprietary yeast; and natural volcanic spring water.
In Spanish, the word "fulano" is used to refer to an unknown or unspecified person, similar to the English words "so-and-so" or "what's-his-name." It is often used as a placeholder name when the actual name of a person is not known or not important.Blanco, also known as Silver or Plata, is the purest form of tequila. Unaged or aged for up to two months, Blanco tequila showcases the true essence of the blue agave plant. Its clear color and strong, pure agave flavor make it the ideal choice for tequila enthusiasts who appreciate the spirit's natural taste.Don Fulano is a product of the Fonseca family whose story begins in the Highlands of Jalisco where their great grandfathers began cultivating agave 140 years ago. Today - respected agave farmers – they also run La Tequileña, one of the highest rated and most awarded tequila distilleries.Tequila (/təˈkiːlə/; Spanish: [teˈkila]) is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila 65 km (40 mi) northwest of Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands (Los Altos de Jalisco) of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco.
