Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey is a 94 proof, small batch whiskey distilled in Denver, Colorado. Stranahan's was the first modern microdistillery to legally make whiskey in Colorado, and an early craft whiskey distiller in the United States.
Rob Dietrich has served as the master distiller since 2011, taking over from the original master distiller Jake Norris. George Stranahan original still from his experimental distilling days. An unusual strain is selected to create the necessary unique flavor production.
Released in 2013, Axe and the Oak Distillery's flagship spirit is the Colorado Mountain Bourbon Whiskey. It's deliciously distilled and beautifully blended right in Colorado Springs, CO.
From this relationship, Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey was born. The two developed a recipe for a distinctively smooth and flavorful American Single Malt whiskey using their mountain surroundings to their advantage. Born in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and handcrafted from barley to bottle in our distillery.
And so, STRANAHAN'S Rocky Mountain Single Malt Whiskey was born. Starting out in 2004 as the state's first legal distillery, STRANAHAN'S forged the path for craft distilling in Colorado. Today, STRANAHAN'S maintains the same quality and standards for each batch, and is made in our Denver, Colorado distillery.
