The whiskey is 15 year old bottling of "American Light Whiskey" from Indiana's MGP - that is to say, whiskey from a high corn bourbon mashbill (in this case 99% corn, 1% barley) that is distilled to a higher proof than bourbon and aged in used, rather than new, casks.

Whisky has been distilled in Scotland for hundreds of years.
